To support our Sales and Engineering Office in Southfield, Michigan – we are immediately looking for a Contract Specialist to join our team.

 


Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to join our team and drive excellence in contract management processes. In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and managing a wide array of contracts to ensure compliance with organizational policies and legal standards. Your expertise will support procurement activities, vendor relationships, and strategic business initiatives, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met efficiently and effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization’s growth by safeguarding legal interests and optimizing contractual operations.

Responsibilities

 

  • Draft contracts, such as employment contracts and non-compete agreements
  • Drafting legal contracts, correspondence and other documents
  • Analyze and negotiate contracts, T&Cs, quality documents and the like
  • Contact person to German HQ and insurances, insurance brokers, authorities
  • Advisor to US/MX CEO and US/MX QM/sales colleagues
  • Timely analysis and summaries of new legislation/regulations affecting the business
  • Assist in implementing changes to contracts to comply with legislation/regulations
  • Support litigation, mediation, arbitration and responses to complaints
  • Renewing and maintaining company licensing
  • Drafting, filing and managing various business entity documents for corporations with state agencies
  • Create and distribute annual reports

Competencies

  • Degree in law, business law or the like
  • Experienced in automotive industry surrounding
  • High social and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Resilient, flexible, creative, taking initiative
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or German kills advantageous
  • Microsoft Office Suite
