About the role
As a key interface in the field of Transport & Customs, you ensure that international goods movements run smoothly and in full legal compliance – from export control and preferential origin to strategic transport management. Depending on your experience, you may also take on leadership responsibilities within the team.
Job Responsibility
- Ensure customs clearance for all import/export shipments
- Communicate with authorities and supervise external audits and inspections (e.g. customs, tax office)
- Monitor and maintain customs authorizations and export control compliance
- Develop and implement transport and logistics concepts
- Negotiate and manage contracts with forwarding agents
- Handle intra-trade statistics and prepare management reports
- Support or act as SAP GTS Key User for customs-relevant processes
- Collaborate closely with our Headquarters to proactively address risks and identify improvement potentials
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree or comparable qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs and transport management; ideally 5+ years for a leadership track
- Experience with import/export procedures, preferential origin, customs authorizations and export control compliance
- Familiarity with transport management topics such as tendering processes, different transport modes and international trade lanes
- Confident in working with SAP (ideally including SAP GTS) and MS Office
- Fluent English skills
