About this role

The position holder manages the Transort&Customs team with the aim of meeting legal requirements (import and export, preferences, export control, etc.). Furthermore, the operational and/or strategic transport management are part of the tasks.

Job Responsibility

  • Import and Export customs operation, optimization and implementation
  • Transport management, optimization and operation 
  • Export control compliance operation and optimization
  • Statistics reporting to government agencies where necessary (EXTRASTAT, INTRASTAT and similar)
  • Implementation and optimization of customs procedures with economic significance (processing traffic, IMMEX, and so on) 
  • Export Control Officer duties (monitoring and reporting)
  • Customs authorization management
  • Local SAP GTS Key-User for implemented and applicable processes
  • Regular exchange and reporting to HQ to ensure process conformity, initiate improvements and address risks at an early stage
  • Preferential origin implementation and optimization where applicable

Qualification & Work Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent
5 - 8 years of work experience in relevant area

Skills

  • Knowledge in Customs Management (Import & Export, preferential origin, authorization, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Transport management (Tender Management, Transport Modes, Trade lanes)
  • Knowledge in Export control compliance
  • Knowledge in country specific customs procedures and programs (e.g. IMMEX)
  • Familiar with Customs risk identification and mitigating actions
  • SAP knowledge including SAP GTS
  • MS Office knowledge
  • Fluent English
