About this role
The position holder manages the Transort&Customs team with the aim of meeting legal requirements (import and export, preferences, export control, etc.). Furthermore, the operational and/or strategic transport management are part of the tasks.
Job Responsibility
- Import and Export customs operation, optimization and implementation
- Transport management, optimization and operation
- Export control compliance operation and optimization
- Statistics reporting to government agencies where necessary (EXTRASTAT, INTRASTAT and similar)
- Implementation and optimization of customs procedures with economic significance (processing traffic, IMMEX, and so on)
- Export Control Officer duties (monitoring and reporting)
- Customs authorization management
- Local SAP GTS Key-User for implemented and applicable processes
- Regular exchange and reporting to HQ to ensure process conformity, initiate improvements and address risks at an early stage
- Preferential origin implementation and optimization where applicable
Qualification & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
5 - 8 years of work experience in relevant area
Skills
- Knowledge in Customs Management (Import & Export, preferential origin, authorization, etc.)
- Knowledge in Transport management (Tender Management, Transport Modes, Trade lanes)
- Knowledge in Export control compliance
- Knowledge in country specific customs procedures and programs (e.g. IMMEX)
- Familiar with Customs risk identification and mitigating actions
- SAP knowledge including SAP GTS
- MS Office knowledge
- Fluent English
